Full Description
September 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A probable World War Two air raid shelter is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (S1), centred at approximately TG 5287 0595. It lay in the back garden of 12 Peggotty Road. It is visible as an earthwork mound, probably covering a semi-sunken structure such as an Anderson shelter. Its northern end is at least partially obscured by shadow. There is no evidence on more recent aerial photographs that the shelter now survives above ground and it was probably levelled soon after the end of the war.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 29 September 2005.
