Map

October 2005. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a trackway and field boundaries of unknown date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). These cropmarks are centred on TG 4896 1404 and were previously recorded as part of NHER 18914. Several roughly north to south aligned ditches are present. These appear to be field boundaries and have a similar alignment to a medieval to post medieval field system located to the northwest (NHER 42063) and could be of a similar date. Perpendicular to these field boundaries, on a west to east alignment are two parallel linear ditch cropmarks. They extend intermittently for 580m and possibly define a trackway. However, they appear to be cut by the modern course of Filby Lane, suggesting an early, possibly medieval date.
