Full Description
May 2003. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of linear features of unknown date, visible on NLA oblique aerial photographs from 1992 (S1). The site consists of four linear features. The longest and clearest ditch runs from TG 1407 4008 to TG 1412 4008 and is 48.5m long and 1.5m wide. To the south is a parallel linear feature running from TG 1409 4008 to TG 1411 4007, measuring 18m long and 1m wide. It is possible that these two parallel linear features are part of a trackway. Two further linear features are visible to the north, although these are much more irregular and it is possible that these are geological. The date of all these linear features is unknown, although they do share a similar alignment to the late medieval to post-medieval field boundaries in the area and therefore may be related.
S. Massey (NMP), 13 May 2003.
