Map

May 2003. Norfolk NMP.
Linear soilmarks visible on Ordnance Survey aerial photographs from 1969 (S1). The linears are showing in a freshly harrowed field and may have been caused by the recent agricultural activity in the field. However they do have the appearance of fragments of field boundaries. The possible ditches run from TG 1396 4027 to TG 1407 4029 and an abutting ditch runs from TG 1404 4027 to TG 1403 4019. If these are elements of field boundaries they appear to pre-date the post medieval field boundaries in the area and therefore maybe medieval or earlier in date.
S. Massey (NMP), 14 May 2003.
