Full Description
June 2003. Norfolk NMP.
Linear cropmarks and possible trackway visible on Ordnance Survey aerial photographs from 1995 (S1). Two 40m long parallel linears run either side of TG 1415 4245 to TG 1418 4242. These ditches are 4 to 5m apart and appear to represent a small section of a trackway. To the west of this is a roughly perpendicular linear running from TG 1415 4244 to TG 1414 4243. Another much narrower linear, 51m long, cuts across these cropmarks, running from TG 1420 4244 to TG 1415 4243. This feature is likely to be of different date, possibly later than the other cropmarks. Metal detecting finds within this field (NHER 32212) range from Roman to post medieval.
S. Massey (NMP), 23 June 2003.
