Map

August 2003. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks consisting of linear features and a possible enclosure visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1941 (S1). Centred on TG 1195 4356 is a rectilinear enclosure, measuring 17.5m by 12m. This appears to have a funnelled entrance to the south, 10m long and 4.5m wide. To the north and the east of this enclosure are several linear features, which have a slight zigzag course. The clearest of these runs from TG 1195 4358 to TG 1204 4359. The date of these features is unknown, although it is possible that they are the remains of military practice trenches, already filled in by 1941.
S. Massey (NMP), 27 August 2003.
