Map

January 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Possible World War One trenches on Kelling Heath are visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1). A pair of parallel linear trenches can be seen to run from approximately TG 1103 4133 to TG 1099 4136. A third section of trench is visible to the north from TG 1104 4133 to TG 1104 4129. These earthworks are already quite faint and overgrown in 1946 so it is possible that they are World War One in date.
S. Massey (NMP), 12 January 2004.
