Map

January 2004. Norfolk NMP.
The site consists of several systems of barbed wire and trenches within military training area on Kelling Heath, which are visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1). The total length of the feature is approximately 590m long and consists of ten lines of barbed wire, each between 30-50m long. In-between these lengths of wire are small slit trenches, approximately 4m long, which cut across the alignment. The purpose of this feature is not known, although it seems most likely that it is the result of World War Two training activities, perhaps for some sort of obstruction technique.
S. Massey (NMP), 12 January 2004.
