Full Description
Around 1939. Stray Find.
Dredged from River Wissey by bridge.
Iron Age pottery sherd. Thin angular shouldered black sherd of bowl, bulge below shoulder angle with slight offset fine burnished surface reminiscent of Continental products; ?import.
In possession of I. J. Thatcher when seen R. R. Clarke (NCM) in 1939.
