Summary

Metal-detecting in 2005 and again between 2010 and 2017 recovered Early Neolithic, Neolithic, and late prehistoric worked flints including a flake struck from a broken axe; Roman pottery sherds; Roman and post-medieval coins and Late Bronze Age and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Bronze Age socketed axe fragment; a medieval key, figurine and buckles; a medieval/post-medieval scabbard chape and dress hook; and a post-medieval buckle, spur side fragment, lead weights and buttons.
