Summary

A prehistoric flint scraper was found here in 1953. Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered prehistoric worked flints including a barbed and tanged arrowhead. Metal detecting found a medieval buckle and two Neolithic flint scrapers.

20 March 1987. Fenland fieldwalking over field, well weathered.
Odd flints but no obvious concentrations; includes a barbed and tanged arrowhead at 7153 9521.

Medieval buckle. Finder retains.

Two flint scrapers (found 13 January).
P. Robins (NCM) says: Rounded end scraper on partly cortical flake bluish patination both faces. Thumbnail scraper with relatively steep retouch, slight bluish patination. Both probably Neolithic - second indicates Late Neolithic - but not clearly diagnostic.
