Full Description
Also known as Appleshaw Farmhouse or Homeleigh.
June 1981. Listed, Grade II.
17th century timber framed house, roughcast, brick faced end wall. Steep gabled roof (clad in corrugated iron at time of listing). Long two storey building with west end higher, and brick stack near the change. East end has end chimneystack.
See (S1) for full listing description.
This sounds very like a possible floored hall house with added chimneystack and taller parlour block, in which case it would be older, note that the listing inspector did not see the interior.
(S2) in file.
E. Rose (NLA) 25 October 2005.
(S3) notes that the tiebeam against the parlour side of the stack was formerly braced, as peg holes show, but at least one of these has been removed in recent times.
E. Rose (NLA) 31 October 2006.
