Summary

A red brick house, probably dating to 1723, but with substantial 19th century additions. To the north of the house is a 17th century barn, and to the south east stand a row of arches which are the only remains of the maltings that once stood beside the house.

Name has no historical significance.
18th century core, mainly early 19th century. Red brick, black pantiles. L plan, 2 storeys. 5 bay entrance façade to west with early 20th c porch. Tuck pointing, vertical join between builds to north of porch. Sash windows with louvred shutters. Timber bracket eaves; to south, modillion eaves. North front of four bays, of centre door with pilasters and cornice. East wing of three bays.

House, largely 19th century, 18th century core, red brick, black pantiles. L plan, 2 storeys. Entrance façade west of five windows with central 20th century glazed porch. Tuck pointing, vertical join between builds immediately north of porch. Sash windows with stone sills, flat arches and shutters. Timber bracket eaves; to south, timber modillion eaves. North façade 4 windows with offcentre door in pilastered case with architrave. Ground floor windows have transoms. East wing of three bays, sash windows face south. Information from (S1).
However (S2) states house dates from 1723.
To south east of house a row of arches stated by (S2) to be remains of a maltings. This is confirmed by (S3) which quite remarkably shows the block fitted into the angle of the house.
