From (S1).

November 2005.
The chimneys have rectangular-sectioned stacks and it is probable that 'shafts' in (S1) means these, rather than that they had polygonal flues.

October 2000.
Anonymous report that '17th century beams and a fireplace' had been discovered here.
E. Rose (NLA), 6 December 2006.
