Cropmarks and earthworks of linear ditches, possibly field boundaries and drainage ditches, of unknown and post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). These cropmarks are centred on TG 4980 0548 and were previously recorded as part of NHER 10399. A total of 2 section of ditch are present within this group. Several of these are on a similar roughly west southwest to east northeast alignment to the modern field pattern. These ditches, and others aligned perpendicular to them, are likely to be field boundaries of post medieval date. It is possible that two overlapping rectilinear field systems are present at the eastern end of the group. However, possible fields measuring 55m by 37m and 50m by 23m are visible. Further ditch cropmarks are also present on southwest to northeast and northwest to southeast alignments. These ditches are of unknown date, but may also be field boundaries or drainage ditches. An earthwork of a drainage ditch is present in the pasture field immediately to the north of the cropmarks at TG 4982 0560. Other undated and post medieval cropmarks are present 400m to the southwest (NHER 42225).
