Map

December 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A possible World War Two pillbox or similar gun emplacement may be visible on aerial photographs alongside Beccles Road, Gorleston in 1944 (S1). The structure is centred on TG 5107 0417 and has the appearance of a light coloured, possibly concrete rectangular block, measuring 4.5m by 3.5m. This feature is not visible on any other aerial photographs and therefore the identification is not definite. It must remain a possibility that the structure is domestic in nature and relates to 105 Beccles Road.
S. Massey (NMP), 19 December 2005.
