Summary

A pair of World War Two air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs within the back gardens of houses on Frederick Road, Gorleston. These shelters are visible as earth covered mounds, probably Anderson shelters, and would have been for the use of families living in the properties

A pair of World War Two air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs within the back gardens of houses on Frederick Road, Gorleston (S1). These shelters are visible as earth covered mounds, probably Anderson shelters, and would have been for the use of families living in the properties. The site is centred on TG 5228 0502. Both the shelters are approximately 2m across and are located in the gardens of numbers 25 and 28 Frederick Road.
