Full Description
January 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two spigot mortar emplacement is visible on aerial photographs on the West Quay, Gorleston (S1). This would have formed part of the harbour and quayside defences. The emplacement is centred on TG 5278 0478 and consisted of a circular spigot within a circular pit, with an embankment on the quayside. This emplacement has been removed by 1947 (S2).
