Full Description
January 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of linear drainage ditches of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These earthworks are centred on TG 4588 0642 in an area of former marshland. Two narrow ditches are present, both of which are flanked by narrow banks. They are both aligned roughly northwest to southeast, although the northernmost ditch turns to the north at its northwest end. These ditches are not shown on the 1839 Halvergate tithe map or later maps (S2).
J. Albone (NMP), 16 January 2006.
