Full Description
January 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of curvilinear ditches or channels of possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These earthworks are centred on TG 4858 0912 in an area of former marshland. These curvilinear ditches or channels cut across a group of late Saxon to medieval salterns (NHER 25151). It is possible that these ditches or channels have a natural origin. However, they may have been incorporated into the drainage pattern during the medieval to post medieval period.
J. Albone (NMP), 18 January 2006
