Map

January 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of linear and curvilinear drainage ditches of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1 and S2). These earthworks are centred on TG 4693 0836 in an area of former marshland. A linear drainage ditch extends for 575m on a west northwest to east southeast alignment. At its western end it joins an extant drainage ditch and its course also continues to the east as an extant ditch. The linear ditch earthwork is flanked by narrow banks. Joining the linear drainage ditch from the north are several narrow linear ditches and curvilinear channels. It is likely that the main linear drainage ditch is of post medieval date. The curvilinear channels leading towards it may have a natural origin and could be medieval in date.
J. Albone (NMP), 23 January 2006.
