Summary

A World War Two air raid shelter is visible on aerial photographs on Elmgrove Road, Gorleston. This shelter is visible as an earthen mound, probably covering an Anderson shelter, and this would have been for the use of the family living in the nearby property.

A World War Two air raid shelter is visible on aerial photographs on Elmgrove Road, Gorleston (S1). This shelter is visible as an earthen covered mound, measuring 3m by 3.5m, and is probably an Anderson shelter, and this would have been for the use of the family living in the nearby property. The site is centred on TG 5221 0346 and is located immediate adjacent to 43 Elmgrove Road.
