Full Description
January 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two emergency water supply tank is visible on wartime aerial photographs on Middleton Road, Gorleston (S1). The site is centred on TG 5230 0319. The water tank is visible as an extent structure, measuring 7m in diameter. The tank appears to have been placed in an area of allotments, now occupied by 129 Middleton Road. It is one of several tanks located within Gorleston for the emergency use of fire fighters during bombing raids, see NHER 42264, 42271 and 42283 for other sites.
