Summary

A World War Two air raid shelter is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945. It was located in the back garden of a property on Bernard Road, Gorleston and would have been used by the family living in the adjacent house.

A World War Two air raid shelter is visible on aerial photographs within the rear garden of 25 Bernard Road, Gorleston (S1). This shelter is visible as an earth covered mound measuring 1.5m by 2.5m and is probably an Anderson shelter. This would have been for the use of the family living in the property. The site is centred on TG 5276 0297.
