Summary

A World War Two air raid shelter is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945. It was located in the back garden of 205 Lowestoft Road, Gorleston and would have been used by the family living in the property.

A World War Two air raid shelter is visible on aerial photographs within the rear garden of 205 Lowestoft Road, Gorleston (S1). This shelter is visible as an L shaped earth covered mound, measuring 4m by 3m, and is probably an Anderson shelter, and this would have been for the use of the family living in the property. The site is centred on TG 5242 0283.
