Summary

This pub was built in 1845 and has been altered in the 20th century. The structure is mostly built of red brick but has a gault brick east front. The two storey building has a slate roof. To the left of the door is a panel with a Lacon's Brewery hawk emblem and the date 1845.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Public house. 1845, altered 20th century. Red brick with a gault brick east front. Slate roof. Two-storey three-window range. Outer two bays in form of two-storey canted bay windows...Central 20th century door with a Lacon's Brewery hawk emblem in a panel to the left and the date 1845. Parapet over a platband. Shallow hipped roof. North return of three bays: formerly a central door (now blocked and opened as a window)...South return with a doorway, sashes and a wall stack.
INTERIOR: ground floor opened out to form one room."
