Summary

A World War Two gun emplacement is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1940. It formed part of a network of defences located along this stretch of coastline: pillboxes lay approximately 375m to the north and 540m to the south (NHER 16792 and 28938 respectively). Later aerial photographs indicate that the emplacement had been levelled by 1944.
