Summary

Lakes Farmhouse is a 17th century timber-framed cottage with a steep pantile roof with gabled ends. The building is largely plastered, except for the front wall which was given a red brick façade in the 20th century. The house has a lean-to at the rear, and an off centre brick chimney stack.

Listing Description:
17th century timber framed cottage fronted in red brick in 20th century, remainder plastered. Steep pantile roof with gabled ends. Modern casements and modern flat roof domers, modern glazed doors. Lean-to at rear (northwest). Brick chimney stack off centre and another at end.

March 2007. Building survey.
A rendered and pantiled one and a half storey house, originally tripartite with an axial stack. The building dates from c.1600 and was probably built with a timber chimney.
