Full Description
August 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Possible World War Two military site mapped from 1944 RAF aerial photographs (S1). A circular mound, 6m across, is located at TF 6711 3926. It has a depression within its centre. It is possible that it is a World War Two gun emplacement or some such similar feature. A zigzag shaped trench can be seen to run for 60m, from TF 6707 3920 to TF 6712 3922. It is possible that this is a stretch of military trench. Although it is located within an area of linears, which may relate to drainage, so this may also be a similar feature.
S. Massey (NMP), 21 August 2002.
