Map

April 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Site consists of group of banks and earthwork pits, visible on 1967 Ordnance Survey aerial photographs (S1). The linear bank is 160m long and 2m wide and runs from TF 6691 3911 to TF 6701 3923. A second, parallel bank, 25m long, is located 40m to the north. Both of these banks appear to run up to two of three oblong pits, clustered at TF 6699 3923. These range from 7m by 5m to 22m by 9m. These pits are morphologically similar to the group of post medieval oyster beds located 250m to the southwest (NHER 1460). It is probably that these pits are of a similar date and function.
S. Massey (NMP), 24 April 2002.
