Map

Circular brick and flint cottage with rectangular wing. Steep tiled roof around central chimney; probably originally with thatch.
Distant view suggests 18th/19th century date dspite local legends of great antiquity.
(S1) shows road to north as a tree lined avenue – so was this a lodge for Summerfield House?
Building occupied as house despite all recent maps either failing to depict it or marking it as only an outline.
