Summary

This small early 19th century cottage has a plastered exterior and stands upon a red brick plinth. The hipped pantile roof has a central brick chimneystack. The cottage has later 19th century alterations and a 20th century extension. Records show it was once owned by a wheelwright.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Small early 19th century plastered cottage on red brick plinth. Hipped pantile roof. Central brick chimneystack. Two storeys. Three bays. Original three-light casements, mostly with leaded panes. Central doorway with cornice hood and roundels in frieze, moulded doorcase and plank door. Brick lean-to at rear."

Should not be confused with the former Grove Cottage in Church Road. Small late timber framed building of around 1800. Two cell, two storey with central stack. Later 19th century alterations and 20th century extension. Once owned by a wheelwright.
