Full Description
Farmhouse of two builds; early 18th century and 19th century. Red brick with steeply-pitched pantile roof. Two storeys and attics. Originally a house of four bays with symmetrical façade, extended to the east in 19th century.
For further information see list description.
A. Cattermole (NLA), 3 March 2006.
Originally a large and grand brick house of around 1690 to 1720, with stable court and service wings. The latter were partly rebuilt as an extension to the main house in the 19th century. However many details of the original interior plan are a mystery, being covered by later decorations. It is not impossible there may be an older core.
See (S1).
E. Rose (NLA), 21 March 2006.
