Full Description
March 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A possible military site, perhaps representing training activity, is visible as disturbed ground and possibly structures on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3), centred at TG 5215 0667. Its extent has been mapped by the NMP. Possible pits and structures are visible, but none are particularly clear and their exact nature is difficult to discern. They could instead represent civilian activity, perhaps associated with the use of the land, which appears to have been an undeveloped building plot, as a park or similar amenity. No trace of the World War Two activity evident at the site has been recognised on more recent aerial photographs of the area.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 8 March 2006.
