Summary

This lamp post was erected as a war memorial in 1919. The 2.4m high square oak post is topped by a wrought iron octagonal lantern. There is a small commemorative plaque on the front of the post.

September 1988. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description:
"Lamp post, war memorial, dated 1919. Square oak post around 2.4m high with wrought iron straps; wrought iron octagonal lantern with scroll work to finial. Small commemorative plaque to front of post recording its erection by the people of Castle Rising."
