Full Description
March 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a linear ditch, probably a field boundary of medieval to post medieval date, is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This cropmark is centred on TF 7283 3520. The ditch extends intermittently for up to 215m on a roughly west to east alignment. It lies roughly perpendicular to the Peddars Way Roman road (NHER 1289) and has a similar alignment to field boundaries marked on a 1631 estate map of Sedgeford (S2). It is likely that this cropmark relates to a field boundary ditch of medieval to post medieval date.
