P. Watkins (HES), 2 March 2015.

May 1984. Visit.
Little if anything is visible of the village site. There are a few humps and bumps in the field between the hall and the road, and to the east, but these form no logical pattern and could easily be overgrown spoil from cleaning drains.
E. Rose (NAU), May 1984.

Possible moat surrounding Little Hautbois Hall (HER 7663) recorded in National Monuments Record/Selected National Heritage Dataset and shown on Ordnance Survey map (S3).
D. Robertson (NLA), 5 May 2009.

October 2025. HER Enhancement: Forestry Commission Project K.
The earthworks of the possible medieval moat (see above) are visible on visualised lidar form a survey flown in 2021 (S4). Earthwork sections of low banks, which may relate to the moated site or to the suggested area of medieval settlement, are also visible in the east of the area (centred at approximately TG 2487 2159). As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the features still survive as earthworks.
J. Powell (Norfolk County Council Environment Service), 14 October 2025
