Summary

A pair of cottages that were built around 1700. 16 Sea Lane is one storey tall and was constructed of clunch and carstone with brick dressings. 18 Sea Lane is two storeys tall and was constructed from flint, carstone, clunch and brick.

Pair of cottages about 1700. Random materials, red pantiled roofs. Two storey and single storey.
No. 16, single storey, clunch with carstone rubble, brick dressings: south gable clunch ground floor, carstone gable. Blocked door and window to west, one 19th century brick dressed window opening. West gable with inserted 19th century boarded door and window under common arched opening.
No. 18, two storeys: ground flint, carstone, white and red clunch rubble, first floor brick and carstone. Ground floor one two-light arched headed 19th century casement with glazing bars, 20th century part glazed door. First floor three two-light straight headed casements with glazing bars. One ridge and one end stack.

Small house, later subdivided, but may once have been larger. Originally a single storey and attic building of red and white chalk, probably of around 1700; part given upper storey in 19th century, whole reroofed and altered around 1900. Interior has ceiling beam with timber marks.
