Summary

Undated human skeletons were found at Manor Farm. The farm is thought locally to be a medieval manor of the Bishop of Ely who had a gallows here. The skeletons may have been victims of the gallows.

January 1958. Found in digging postholes on Manor Farm, 60 to 90 cm (2 to 3 feet) down.
Female human skull, jaw and thigh bones (two bodies). No evidence of date. Handed to [1] February 1958. [2] informed [3] that the farm was the Manor of Bishop of Ely. This manor had 'Liberty of Gallows' and a pillory which possibly has some connection.

There were a great many bones 60 to 90cm (2 to 3 feet) below ground level.
