Summary

Earthworks of a possible oval enclosure of unknown date are visible on aerial photographs. The enclosure measures 32m by 20m externally with a single entrance on its southwest side. The date and function of this enclosure is not known. However, its location on the floodplain of the Waveney suggests that it is most likely to be of medieval to post medieval date.

Earthworks of a possible oval enclosure of unknown date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These earthworks are located at TM 3297 8950. An narrow ditch defining an oval enclosure is visible in an area of pasture close to the River Waveney. The enclosure measures 32m by 20m externally. A single gap present in the ditch on the southwest side of the enclosure may be an entrance. The date and function of this enclosure is not known. However, its location on the floodplain of the Waveney suggests that it is most likely to be of medieval to post medieval date.
