Summary

Cropmarks of undated parallel curvilinear ditches are visible on aerial photographs. The alignment of these ditches does not correspond to that of the modern field pattern. It is possible that they are part of the medieval field system recorded further to the west (NHER 43492).

Map

April 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated parallel curvilinear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TM 3060 8872. Four parallel curvilinear ditch cropmarks are present on a roughly west southwest to east northeast alignment. Each of the sections of ditch is visible for up to 238m and they are spaced between 15m and 37m apart. A fifth ditch cropmark, aligned perpendicular to the parallel ditches, joins the northernmost one about halfway along its length. The alignment of these ditches does not correspond to that of the modern field pattern. It is possible that they are part of the medieval field system recorded further to the west (NHER 43492).
