Map

Early to mid-19th-century public house with rendered exterior, ornate iron scrolls to former corner entrance, 20th-century additions. Contemporary outbuildings to rear.
Photo (S1) in file shows condition prior to alterations.
E. Rose (NLA), 4 March 2006.

The location of this record has been corrected. Due to confusion over the street numbering (it was No 4, not No 9 as previously stated) it was originally mapped on the opposite side of Nelson Road. The distinctive iron scrolls noted in 2006 are still present.
P. Watkins (HES), 20 December 2023.
