Full Description
October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Fragmentary earthwork banks visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1) and 1950 (S2) running from TG 0843 4401 to TG 0835 4379. It is visible in three sections covering a total distance of 237m, the longest stretch is 112m long and 12m wide. A later drain cuts the line of these banks. Two stretches of perpendicular banks are visible to the east, running from TG 0839 4393 to TG 0835 4395, the longest section being 24m by 11m. It is likely that these banks relate to post medieval enclosure of the saltmarsh into grazing land.
