Map

October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of four linear banks visible on Ordnance Survey aerial photographs from 1969 (S1). These are all parallel and between 2-3m wide. The longest of these is 47m. Three of these banks may have originally been part of the same feature, in fact the southern two banks are obviously only separated by a later footpath cutting through. This potential bank would have run from TG 0647 4271 to TG 0651 4261. The fourth bank runs from TG 0655 4262 to TG 0657 4257. It seems likely that these parallel banks represent field boundaries or possible divisions on what is now heath. The date of these is not certain, however it seems likely that these are medieval-post-medieval in date.
S. Massey (NMP), 16 January 2006.
