A possible World War Two pillbox is visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1940 (S1) and 1946 (S2). The rectangular structure is located at TG 0935 4365 and measures 6.5m by 4m. The structure may be type 2/20A pillbox as the dimensions are consistent with a defensive position of that type.
