Full Description
October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of World War Two practice trenches visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1). The slit trench, which is 1m wide, is 'zigzag' in shape and runs for a total of 19m from TG 0679 4227 to TG 0678 4225. Corresponding banks of up-cast can be seen to either side of the trench. These trenches are likely to be part of World War Two training in the Salthouse heath area.
S. Massey (NMP), 29 April 2003.
