The earthworks of system of slit trenches, dating to World War Two, are visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1) and 1950 (S2) on Muckleburgh Hill. The interconnecting trenches form a ‘swastika’ like arrangement, centred on TG 0985 4312, covering an area measuring 18.5m by 10.5m. The trenches are 1.5m wide.
