Map

November 2003. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of World War two trenches are visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1) and 1950 (S2). It seems likely that these trenches were constructed as part of military training exercises in the area. The main trench consists of an approximately 45m length of trench that has curvilinear, linear and zigzag sections of ditch. This feature runs from TG 0987 4300 to TG 0989 4300. To the west of this is a much smaller ‘Y-shaped’ section of ditch, centred on TG 0991 4301.
S. Massey (NMP), 17 November 2003.
