Full Description
April 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a ring ditch, probable a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). This cropmark is centred on TM 3153 8927. It is sub-circular to sub-oval in plan with a narrow ditch and an external diameter of up to 28m. It is located on a gentle east facing slope at approximately 12m OD. It is likely that this ring ditch is of Bronze Age date and that it relates to a round barrow. Other ring ditch cropmarks of similar size are located 85m to the south and 200m to the northeast (NHER 43535, 17334). Two smaller possible ring ditches are also present 180m to the southwest (NHER 43607).
