(S1) refers in passing to army personnel in the Great War waiting to be taken to redeployment from 'Holkham airship base in Norfolk'. No reference is given for this statement. Although no other mention of such a base at Holkham has been found it should be noted there are recorded airship stations at Ringstead (NHER 13624) and Cromer (NHER 25324), the sites of which are not known, and so it is equally possible there was a forgotten site at Holkham.
